Northern Europe
In Northern Europe, you only need to travel a short distance in any direction to find yourself in a completely different type of environment. From the languages, streetscapes, and food to the climate, topography and rhythm of daily life, there’s an astonishing level of diversity in this area. Some of my favorite memories were summiting peaks in Molde, drinking in neighborhood pubs of London, and “taking a fika” with friends in Stockholm’s many cafés. What I love most though aren’t the differences of these countries but the major similarity that unites them all – a very high quality of life.
